The Big Shows on the 4th of July

Red from Botanical Fireworks III - Cancun by Kevin McDermott Photographer

Boston – From one if by land to one of the largest fireworks displays in the North East, Boston knows how to throw a party.  Best views are from the Esplanade on the Charles.

Chicago – Big shoulders, bigger fireworks.  See them at the Navy Pier on Lake Michigan.

Las Vegas – Not to be outstripped by anyone, after dusk Vegas’ major resorts set off competing spectacular displays of fireworks over the holiday weekend.

Los AngelesPasadena’s Rose Bowl Stadium hosts LA’s  pyrotechnics display, which happens to be one of the largest in SoCal.

MiamiCheck out Bayfront Park with its food, entertainment and the largest Independence Day celebration in the Southland.

New York City – Macy’s lets them loose along the Hudson River. For some of the best views, head to the West Highway between 24th and 59th Streets.

Philadelphia – Philadelphia says independence! with a pyrotechnic light show at the Phila.Mus. of Art.  Grab a seat at Schuylkill River Park, Boathouse Row or Lemon Hill.

San Francisco – Find a hilltop park and relax and watch San Francisco’s lovely light show from Pier 39.

Washington DC – The National Mall, need we say more? This is US Headquarters after all, so the show will not disappoint.   Bonus points: show includes iconic monuments.
